Job Description

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to design, implement, and operate a scalable data warehouse and reporting platform for AWS Marketing. This onsite role in Seattle, WA emphasizes integrating diverse data sources and building robust ETL pipelines to support data-driven decision making. A minimum of two years of relevant experience is expected for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support a platform that provides ad-hoc access to large datasets
  • Collaborate with other technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from a wide variety of sources using SQL
  • Develop robust, scalable ETL pipelines using SQL, Python, and AWS services such as Data Pipelines and Glue
  • Apply best practices in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and SQL/Redshift to build solid data structures
  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver complete reporting solutions
  • Generate high-quality datasets to support business analysts and customer reporting needs
  • Continuously improve reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying self-service support for customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of data engineering experience
  • 2+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using ETL/ELT processes
  • 2+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for BI analytics using OLAP technologies
  • 2+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for BI analytics using data modeling
  • 2+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for BI analytics using SQL

Salary: USD 132,100 - 178,800 per year
