Cyber Software Engineer - Early Career
Job Description
In Annapolis Junction, Maryland, Lockheed Martin RMS staffs an Early Career Cyber Software Engineer to help safeguard cyberspace and national security through focused software development. This onsite role combines coding with documentation and meeting coordination, requiring Python and/or Java/C++, Linux expertise, and U.S. citizenship with a security clearance, all within a broad benefits package.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to software development efforts aimed at defending U.S. interests in cyberspace, protecting classified information essential to national security, and applying advanced techniques to outmaneuver adversaries in cyber operations.
- Support the Program Manager, Control Account Managers, and Staffing Manager by organizing documentation, updating spreadsheets, coordinating meetings, and handling ad hoc tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Science or Computer Science
- Experience leading college software projects
- Experience with full-stack tools and mobile apps
- Experience creating dashboards
- Experience implementing process improvements that reduce monthly or yearly spend on user or compute processes
- Core competencies in systems design, software engineering, embedded systems, and testing

Work Schedules
Lockheed Martin offers a variety of alternate work schedules to provide flexibility. Options range from a standard 40 hours across five days to condensed schedules that provide extra time away from the office, in addition to paid time off benefits.

Pay rate
The base annual salary range for this position is $70,600 to $124,430, with variations by location. For states not listed, the salary will reflect the final work location. This range is a general guideline and factors such as location and experience may influence final compensation.
