Lockheed Martin RMS is offering an onsite Senior Staff Cyber RF Software Engineer role in Hanover, MD. This position centers on leading DSP focused RF software development, mentoring engineering teams, and integrating software within Agile and DevOps workflows using C++, Python, Kubernetes, and Git. It combines technical leadership with hands-on development in a purpose-driven environment.
Compensation
Annual base salary ranges from $128,200 to $225,975, with regional variation tied to the final work location. The stated range applies to certain states; for other locations, compensation will reflect the candidate’s final work location.

Responsibilities
- Lead one or more software teams, ensuring high quality work that aligns with the project’s software development processes
- Mentor teammates and support their professional growth
- Analyze user requirements and translate them into design and performance specifications
- Design and implement new features or modify existing code to add capabilities
- Debug and resolve defects in existing software
- Recommend improvements to documentation and software development process standards
- Integrate existing software into new or altered systems and environments, leveraging C++, Kubernetes, Python, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
- Operate within Agile sprint development practices
- Contribute to projects involving Digital Signal Processing and related RF technologies
Requirements
- Active US security clearance with polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science with a DSP focus, from an accredited institution
- Equivalency options: MS in Engineering/CS plus 2 years of experience or 4 years of DSP experience with a high school diploma
- Minimum 7 years of experience developing DSP algorithms on projects adhering to established software processes
- Minimum 7 years of professional programming experience using C++, Linux, and Python (or equivalent languages)
