CMDB Data Engineer
Job Description
CMDB Data Engineer role in Tampa, FL onsite with Leidos on the USCENTCOM CITS contract, focusing on CMDB accuracy and data analysis, with a salary range of USD 107,900 to 195,050 per year.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Program Manager with overall contract execution, strategic planning, resource allocation, and risk management to guide program outcomes.
- Serve as a secondary point of contact for USCENTCOM leadership and stakeholders, stepping in as program manager in their absence to maintain seamless delivery.
- Directly manage a team of IT and data professionals, performing HR duties including performance evaluations, career development planning, mentoring, and timecard/leave approvals.
- Oversee staffing, interviewing, and onboarding processes to maintain a highly skilled and capable workforce.
- Contribute to program reporting by evaluating contracts, managing programmatic budgets or resource forecasts, and communicating insights, risks, and plans to cross functional teams and senior management.
- Maintain the accuracy of the CMDB while ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures within enterprise processes.
- Analyze data and investigate issues using SQL and other query tools.
- Manage configuration item lifecycle for IT services and assets from deployment through decommission.
- Decompose complex problems into practical, straightforward solutions.
- Proactively analyze data to answer key questions for stakeholders and drive performance, communicating findings clearly.
- Define and document CI metrics throughout their lifecycle.
- Gather critical information from multiple stakeholders to specify and validate business reporting or data extracts using data mapping and data quality techniques.
- Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, identify improvements, and develop data-driven solutions using data analysis and profiling.
- Establish, implement, and develop overarching Configuration Management procedures and compliance standards, defining responsibilities, authorities, and plan approval levels.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with focus in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field preferred, with a minimum of 8 years' relevant experience in data analysis, data science, configuration management, or related IT programs.
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- 3+ years in supervisory roles managing technical personnel and assisting with program or project management tasks.
- 5+ years of experience in Configuration Management.
- 5+ years with ServiceNow, including CMDB administration and integration.
- Proven ability to ensure quality, accuracy, and usability of the ServiceNow CMDB.
- Ability to work collaboratively with ServiceNow Administrators.
- Experience configuring and integrating discovery tools and Sensors with ServiceNow CMDB to import data from authoritative sources while preserving data integrity.
- Participation in data normalization efforts prior to CMDB ingestion.
- Ability to perform routine audits of CMDB data.
- Experience engaging internal and external stakeholders to understand product demand and manage CMDB and platform data requirements.
