Business Intelligence Developer

U.S. Legal Support is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to design and support reporting and BI solutions that translate data into actionable insights within a production SQL Server environment. Based in Houston with a hybrid work arrangement, the role welcomes a minimum of one year of related experience and emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders to deliver robust analytics using SSRS, SSIS, and SQL Server.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to examine data flows, processes, and reporting requirements to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Gather input and secure consensus on reporting and data initiatives across teams.
• Translate business needs into scalable technical designs and implementations.
• Combine data from users, clients, and leadership to surface trends and opportunities.
• Design, build, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualization tools that communicate insights clearly.
• Refine data structures, reporting models, and related processes to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Maintain accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting outputs.
• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations that inform strategic decisions.
• Explain complex data findings in straightforward, business-friendly terms.
• Collaborate across functions, including analytics and operations, to align efforts and maximize impact.
• Support both immediate deliverables and long-term BI initiatives to sustain progress.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with SSRS, SSIS, and SQL Server in a production environment.
• Five or more years of work with Microsoft SQL Server, with strong knowledge of database structures and best practices.
• At least three years of SSRS development experience.
• At least three years of SSIS development experience.
• At least one year of Tableau or Power BI development experience.
