AWS Data Engineer - Consultant

Deloitte offers a hands-on AWS Data Engineer - Consultant role in Houston, onsite, focused on designing, developing, and deploying scalable data engineering and ETL solutions within a mission-focused environment. You will leverage Python and SQL alongside AWS based data integration, underpinned by strong data architecture to translate business requirements into secure, high performing data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing, building, and deploying scalable data engineering and ETL solutions within a mission-focused setting.
• Apply deep expertise in Python, SQL, and AWS based data integration, with hands-on work crafting and maintaining backend data pipelines, ETL workflows, and cloud-native processing using AWS Lambda, AWS Glue, and Amazon S3.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of database design and data architecture, including schema development, data modeling, normalization, optimization, and data integrity controls, and translate business and technical requirements into secure, maintainable, high-performing data solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of experience in SQL, Python, ETL architecture and development, AWS cloud engineering, database and data management
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role
• Travel up to 0-10% on average, depending on the work and assignments
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
