Associate Game Design Developer (Mathematician)

Arrow International, Inc. is hiring an Associate Game Design Developer to join its Las Vegas studio team. This is an onsite role where you will partner closely with a Game Designer to build prize-first math models for Arrow’s electronic gaming products, combining math thinking with practical software development using C#. If you enjoy translating game ideas into measurable systems and iterating toward a better player experience, you’ll find meaningful work in a team setting.

What you’ll do

• Design slot-style game math models using a prize-first math engine.
• Translate game concepts and mathematical ideas into working software with C#.
• Develop and maintain math characteristics metrics to support data-driven decision-making as you iterate on math model design.
• Create and maintain PAR sheets that document the game math model.
• Build working knowledge of North American slot markets, identifying trends that help keep game designs contemporary and aligned with market requirements.
• Collaborate with the team to align priorities and drive toward solutions, with a strong team-player mindset.
• Apply strong organization and attention to detail to support an engaging player experience through fun, well-designed game math.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Data Analysis, or a Software Engineering field, or equivalent experience.
• Gaming experience highly preferred.
• C# experience.
• Excel experience.
• Familiarity with other development tools is a plus, for example Confluence, JIRA, and Bitbucket.
• A strong grasp of math principles and probability.

Working conditions

• Onsite work in Las Vegas, NV.

• Extensive time in front of LCDs and Electronic Gaming Machine screens.
• Repetitive motion to open heavy Electronic Gaming Machine doors.
• Ability to move between projects with little notice and adapt quickly.
• Overtime and weekend hours may be required to meet project schedules.
• Limited travel may be required.
