The Opportunity

Join Booz Allen as a mid-level full-stack developer focused on designing, building, and deploying modern web applications that operate securely in AWS IL-4/5 environments. You will transform mission requirements into production-ready systems and integrate AI and ML features to deliver intelligent, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive frontend applications using React, TypeScript (TSX), and modern tooling such as Vite
• Build and maintain backend services and APIs with FastAPI
• Architect and implement database schemas and ORM integrations using SQLAlchemy and Django ORM
• Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate multi-service systems via Docker Compose
• Translate stakeholder and technical requirements into prototypes and evolve them into production systems
• Develop large-scale applications with complex integrations while maintaining code quality
• Implement RESTful APIs that connect with external services and data sources
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to ensure readiness for IL-4/5 deployment
• Integrate AI/ML models and services into web apps, including LLM APIs and intelligent features
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and security guidelines
• Contribute innovative ideas to improve architecture, UX, and development workflows
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and agile processes
• Support application security requirements and remediate vulnerabilities identified by security scans

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience designing, modifying, and implementing software applications
• 2+ years of full-stack web development with React, TypeScript/TSX (frontend) and Python backends with FastAPI or Django
• 2+ years of Docker and Docker Compose for containerized development and deployment
• 2+ years of ORM experience (SQLAlchemy or Django ORM) and relational database design/optimisation
• 2+ years of RESTful API design, implementation, and integration
• 1+ years of experience with modern frontend build tools (Vite or Webpack)
• Experience with Python testing frameworks (pytest) and modern package management (pip/venv)
• Ability to develop large-scale applications with multiple integrated components
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of software development experience in lieu of a degree
