Job Description

This role is for an AI Software Engineer at Aaniie, focused on designing, developing, and deploying advanced AI-enabled capabilities for SaaS products. The position emphasizes scalable engineering, reliable API integrations, and applying AI across the full software development life cycle, supported by daily use of AI coding tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, high-performance features across the SaaS platform.
  • Drive a Plan → Build → Review workflow for features, using AI assistance throughout and validating outputs before release.
  • Build and maintain API integrations that extend platform capabilities for home care, senior living, and childcare networks.
  • Use AI coding tools (including Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) on a daily basis to accelerate development, improve code quality, and reduce debugging time.
  • Use AI as an agentic collaborator by crafting effective prompts, orchestrating multi-step tasks, and critically reviewing AI-generated code prior to merging.
  • Apply AI across the full SDLC, including requirements analysis, system design, implementation, test generation, code review, and post-deployment maintenance.
  • Support the establishment of team norms for responsible, high-quality AI-assisted development.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teammates to deliver customer-focused features in an agile environment.
  • Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and unit and integration testing.
  • Troubleshoot issues across the stack, including frontend, backend, data, and integrations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tooling, and engineering standards.
  • Stay current with the rapidly evolving AI development tool landscape and bring new approaches to the team.

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years of professional software development experience.
  • Daily use of AI coding tools (not occasional use).
  • Ability to validate and defend AI-generated code.
  • Full-stack development experience.
  • Strong command of an agile SDLC.
  • Professional experience with PHP, JavaScript, Java, C#, or similar.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
