Advanced Software Developer

E-Logic is recruiting for an Advanced Software Developer to support a proposed U.S. Navy/DoD software engineering initiative. The work centers on research, design, and development of computer and network software, along with integration and maintenance of complex systems in DoD environments.

This role is tied to a proposal submission, so it is contingent upon contract award and client approval. Based in Southern Maryland, the position blends government-site collaboration with time at the contractor facility, with telework eligibility subject to site requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
• Analyze user needs and create software solutions using principles and techniques from computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
• Update and enhance existing software capabilities.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems, including development of specifications and performance requirements.
• Support database development and maintenance within application areas, either independently or as part of a development team.

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Equivalent qualifying substitution may be available based on experience and certifications, as applicable.
• Minimum 7 years of software development experience.
• At least 2 years supporting Department of Defense (DoD) systems.

Location and Work Arrangement

• Primary location: NAWCAD WOLF, St. Inigoes, Maryland (Southern Maryland, near Patuxent River).
• Work split: approximately 51% at Government sites.
• Work split: approximately 49% at the contractor facility.
• Additional site: occasional support at NAS Patuxent River, MD.
• Telework: most positions are eligible for Routine Telework.
• On-site expectation for telework-eligible roles: typically about two (2) days per week at Government facilities.
• Locality requirement: contractor personnel must be located within 50 drivable miles of NAWCAD WOLF (St. Inigoes, MD) to support mission needs.
• Remote work: full remote is not the standard, and significant on-site presence at WOLF is required for collaboration, integration, and mission support.
