Job Description

Dynamic Systems, Inc. (DSI) is seeking a software engineer to join its corporate development team, supporting Off-Site Manufacturing (OSM). In this onsite role based in Buda, TX, you will build and support production web applications that help OSM teams manage scheduling, materials, capacity, and other operational work. The position includes production ownership across design, implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.

What you’ll do

Work with OSM project managers to understand needs, define outcomes, and shape practical solutions.
Consult lane managers and shop leaders as operational knowledge is needed to design effective software.
Administer the OSM GitHub organization, owning standards, guardrails, and the review process that enables domain experts to contribute safely.
Build and improve production web applications, primarily using TypeScript.
Turn early concepts and prototypes into secure, maintainable software teams can rely on.
Use DSI’s centralized data platform, including provided databases, APIs, and MCPs, to power application functionality.
Own OSM application delivery and maintenance end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, deployment, observability, documentation, user support, and issue triage.
Coordinate with the help desk and core platform teams when issues cross system boundaries.
Partner with the corporate development team on architecture, shared components, engineering standards, and reusable solutions.
Validate software with users and improve it using evidence and feedback.

Minimum qualifications

3–5 years of professional software-engineering experience, including a track record of shipping and supporting production software.
Strong TypeScript and modern web-application experience, including building and shipping maintainable web applications and consuming existing APIs and services.
Strong GitHub experience, including repositories, branches, pull requests, code review, Issues, GitHub Actions, and releases in a team environment.
Comfort with repository access, branch protections, and practical review standards.
Experience shipping reliable web applications, including user flows, authentication, accessibility, testing, deployment, and error handling.
Practical knowledge of CI/CD, logging, metrics, and evidence-based debugging.
SQL and relational-data experience.
Comfort with AI-assisted development tools, with the judgment to review output and take responsibility for results.
Ability to work directly with project managers and other non-technical partners to translate operational needs into software design.
Willingness to work from corporate and make limited travel to OSM shops and DSI facilities in Texas (more travel possible during onboarding).

Benefits

A stable, established company with real commitment behind this work.
A core software-engineering role with meaningful ownership of production software supporting OSM.
A corporate home base in Buda, with limited, purposeful access to the shops where the work happens.
Competitive compensation and a full benefits package.

Travel

Travel is limited and purposeful.
Expect more shop time during onboarding if useful; after that, travel is occasional and driven by the work.
Willingness to work from corporate and make limited travel to OSM shops and DSI facilities in Texas, with more travel possible during onboarding.

Nice to have

Python experience, particularly for AI or data services.
React, Next.js, or another modern TypeScript framework.
Azure, containers, or infrastructure-as-code experience.
Experience building AI/LLM applications or internal tools people actually adopted.
Manufacturing, industrialized construction, fabrication, or production/operations experience.

How the team works

Uses modern development tools, including AI-assisted tooling, to move quickly while keeping quality high.
