Technical Consultant – Enterprise Data Engineer (Geospatial Data & Platforms)

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy scalable, secure database solutions to support mission critical applications
• Partner with cross functional teams across requirements, analysis, design, build/configuration, and deployment to ensure successful implementations
• Set up and maintain database environments with backup, restore, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies
• Monitor and optimize database performance using industry standard tools and techniques, including query tuning and indexing
• Apply data security measures, access controls, and regulatory/compliance standards across environments
• Automate routine data loading, maintenance, and monitoring tasks to improve efficiency
• Provide technical guidance and best practices for database design, migration, and integration projects

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in database design, administration, and optimization for Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or SAP HANA
• Solid understanding of database design principles, data loading techniques, backup and recovery solutions, performance monitoring and tuning, maintenance, and security
• Scripting proficiency in SQL and Python for automation and data workflows
• Exposure to geospatial concepts such as spatial data types, coordinate systems, and spatial indexing
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical peers and non-technical project managers or customers
• US citizenship with an active or current Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, GIS, or related STEM field
