Job Description

Location: Saint Petersburg, Florida, onsite. This Tableau Developer role offers a competitive salary range of $115,000 – $120,000 per year, discretionary bonuses, medical, dental, and vision coverage, and a 401(k) plan. The role centers on Tableau development and server administration, serving as the link between end users and IT to capture and implement business needs. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or a related field, plus at least four years of IT software development related experience, program leadership, or software business analysis, are required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Tableau Server environments and sites, publish interactive dashboards, and collaborate with internal IT teams to ensure a stable, well-designed, highly available, and properly maintained infrastructure
  • Administer and support Tableau infrastructure, manage groups, workbooks and projects, database views, data sources, and data connections
  • Leverage SQL and data storage techniques to integrate data from multiple sources
  • Lead Tableau initiatives by overseeing business needs and requirements for enhancements and delivery cycles
  • Partner with internal users and external vendors to translate business objectives into strategic and tactical plans
  • Facilitate meetings with key stakeholders to map current practices and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Design, maintain, and enforce Tableau best practices and governance policies

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Four years of IT software development related experience including program leadership or software business analysis, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and experience
  • Ability to develop, maintain, and manage advanced Tableau reporting, analytics, and dashboards
  • Proficiency with SQL and relational databases for dashboard development
  • Experience maintaining, supporting, and upgrading a Tableau server environment
  • Knowledge of business needs analysis principles and requirements analysis methods
  • Ability to analyze data sets and document business processes
  • Strong multitasking skills and adaptability to shifting priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational skills and timely delivery
  • Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Ability to follow complex instructions and communicate effectively
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Capacity to foster and maintain cooperative working relationships and build consensus
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Ability to commute with personal transportation and travel up to 25% of the time
