Software Engineer, Lead

Leading full stack software engineering at Booz Allen Hamilton, this onsite role supports a growth-oriented team at Fort Meade, MD by delivering end-to-end solutions from concept to production while applying modern architectures in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct a team through learning new tools and techniques, while identifying opportunities to enhance the system.
• Assist clients in addressing complex challenges using current architectural approaches, tools, and technologies.
• Ensure the team’s solution aligns with the existing architecture and operating environment, while accommodating future functionality and enhancements.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python development.
• Experience building web applications with JavaScript and React.
• Ability to query and manipulate data from corporate repositories.
• Experience developing on Linux-based platforms.
• Comfort using Git for day-to-day development workflows.
• Capacity to work directly in customer spaces, collaborate effectively, and solve difficult problems.
• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of software engineering experience, or 16+ years of software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.

Compensation

• The projected compensation range for this position is USD 112,800.00 to USD 257,000.00 annually.

• Salary at Booz Allen is determined by factors including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, contract affordability, and organizational requirements.

Work model

Work location depends on the role configuration:

• Onsite: work primarily at a Booz Allen office or at a customer facility, collaborating directly with colleagues and clients as required.
• Hybrid: regular work from a Booz Allen facility with frequent visits to customer facilities, aligned with leadership expectations and role needs. Additional visits to customer facilities may be required.
• Remote: when listed as remote, some duties may be performed remotely with occasional in-person work at Booz Allen or customer facilities.
