Cboe is hiring a Software Engineer for our Real-time Software Engineering team, working onsite in Kansas City, MO. You will design, build, deploy, and support real-time systems that power the Cboe Titanium exchange platform, with a strong focus on reliability, testability, fault tolerance, and performance, supported by a team cadence that includes weekly shipping. Deliver performant, reliable, and maintainable solutions for technical projects within the Cboe Titanium exchange platform, with guidance and support from peers and mentors.
Ensure solutions are well tested, including both your own testing and collaboration with the QA team.
Participate in code and design reviews for your work and for other engineers’ solutions.

Requirements

2+ years of experience with C++, or experience in another programming language with a strong desire to learn C++.
Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
Experience with Linux or UNIX-like systems and familiarity with at least one scripting language such as Python.
Experience with database systems and familiarity with SQL.
Self-directed, self-motivated approach with enthusiasm for continuous learning, especially from constructive feedback.

Compensation

US locations only: Anticipated base salary range is $97,750 to $126,500 per year. Actual compensation is determined by job-related factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal alignment, and location. The role may also be eligible for annual incentive compensation and, where applicable, participation in Cboe’s long-term equity programs.
