Software Engineer

Software Engineer on the B-1b/B-52 flight software team at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma City, focusing on designing, developing, testing, and maintaining operational flight software and subsystem models. The role requires an active Secret clearance and onsite work. Compensation is USD 76 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and sustain software system and subsystem engineering models across the full lifecycle, using Jira to meet industry, customer, and safety standards.
• Review, analyze, and translate customer requirements and technical specifications for stakeholder use.
• Collaborate with a diverse engineering team to design, develop, and deploy operational flight software used to monitor and test the system.
• Develop, maintain, enhance, and optimize system and subsystem components and functionalities for system integrations.
• Serve as a system and subsystem resource to team members, assisting with debugging and issue resolution to ensure reliability and efficiency of software products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Minimum 9 years of professional experience
• Ability to code in C and/or ADA
• Embedded software design experience preferred
• Experience with Jira
