Senior Software Engineer (Avionics Test Stands), - Level 3

Senior Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, documenting, testing, debugging, and maintaining software used to test F-16 OFP COMET avionics ITS at Hill AFB, Utah, onsite in Clearfield, UT, with security clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design software to test OFPs on the ITS and within a virtual environment
• Develop software to test OFPs on the ITS and in virtual environments
• Document software used to test OFPs on ITS and in virtual environments
• Test software used to validate OFPs on ITS and in a virtual environment
• Debug software used to test OFPs on ITS and in a virtual environment
• Maintain software used to test OFPs on ITS and in a virtual environment

Requirements

• At least an Interim Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain a Final Secret clearance
• US Citizenship is required
• Experience with Unix/Linux system services
• Proficiency in C and C++ software development
• Experience with Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
• Knowledge of aircraft weapons systems
• Experience with avionics modeling or aircraft weapon simulation modeling
• Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, Sun Solaris, Linux or VxWorks (VxSim)

Work location

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work schedules

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week to condensed formats. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
