Senior Software Engineer (Avionics Test Stands), - Level 3
Job Description
Senior Software Engineer responsible for designing, developing, documenting, testing, debugging, and maintaining software used to test F-16 OFP COMET avionics ITS at Hill AFB, Utah, onsite in Clearfield, UT, with security clearance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design software to test OFPs on the ITS and within a virtual environment
- Develop software to test OFPs on the ITS and in virtual environments
- Document software used to test OFPs on ITS and in virtual environments
- Test software used to validate OFPs on ITS and in a virtual environment
- Debug software used to test OFPs on ITS and in a virtual environment
- Maintain software used to test OFPs on ITS and in a virtual environment
Requirements
- At least an Interim Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain a Final Secret clearance
- US Citizenship is required
- Experience with Unix/Linux system services
- Proficiency in C and C++ software development
- Experience with Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
- Knowledge of aircraft weapons systems
- Experience with avionics modeling or aircraft weapon simulation modeling
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, Sun Solaris, Linux or VxWorks (VxSim)

Work location
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work schedules
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week to condensed formats. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this position includes 9x80 every other Friday off.
