Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Ads Modeling

Unity Vector is hiring a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for Ads Modeling to build and productionalize ML approaches for personalized ads.

Responsibilities

• Build deep understanding of the ads business: product offering, advertiser goals, ads serving funnel, and rich real-time and dynamic user interaction data
• Lead foundational research on new models and paradigms for ads recommendations
• Use rich user data with large-scale compute to validate models quickly
• Partner closely with engineering and product teams to productionalize research into production systems

Requirements

• Hands-on experience applying state-of-the-art machine learning and deep learning models to complex real-world problems, with emphasis on user behavior modeling
• Proficiency in Python and PyTorch, plus experience with deep learning frameworks
• Strong understanding of metric design, large-scale data analysis, and distributed computing frameworks
• Demonstrated ability to drive projects end-to-end, resolving critical cross-team challenges and delivering measurable business outcomes

Compensation

• USD 148,700 - 244,600 per year
• Gross Annual Salary ranges:
  • Zone A: $188,200 - $244,600
  • Zone B: $167,200 - $217,300
  • Zone C: $148,700 - $193,300
• Beyond base salary, the role may be eligible for equity awards and participation in company incentive plans (annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions)
• Final offer amount depends on geographic location and the candidate’s relevant experience, professional background, and skill set
