Machine Learning Engineer

Machine Learning Engineer position at Booz Allen Hamilton focusing on training, deploying, and maintaining ML models and guiding AI strategy across the DoD market, collaborating across engineering and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, deploy, and sustain models that learn from data.
• Define the direction of mission critical AI solutions to enable faster mission success.
• Join a large community of ML engineers across the company and collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, solutions architects, and product owners to deliver advanced AI solutions across diverse use cases.
• Apply deep technical expertise to guide clients through ML algorithms, tools, and frameworks.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in artificial intelligence, data science, or machine learning engineering, including developing and deploying models.
• Proficiency in Python and libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Experience coding in a common programming language, including Python, C++, Rust, or Java.
• Experience with deep learning, computer vision, or generative AI.
• Experience with data handling and model development lifecycle.
• Experience leveraging AI productivity tools for coding, such as Cursor.
• Ability to solve client issues and problems.
• Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree.

Nice to Have

• Experience with generative and agentic AI technologies, such as LLMs, MCP, LangChain, or LangGraph.
• Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning.

Clearance

• Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
