Junior Software Engineer (AFC Device SW), bilingual Korean

Based in Vienna, VA with remote work flexibility, this role focuses on designing, developing, and validating software for Automatic Fare Collection AFC devices. The position requires bilingual Korean proficiency and entails deploying software updates, configuring systems, and conducting on-site and remote testing and troubleshooting by analyzing logs and data to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.

Job Details

Location: Vienna, VA (remote)

Salary: USD 60,000 - 80,000 per year

Minimum Experience: 2 years in software development

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, implementation, testing, and rollout of AFC device software
• Provide technical support during AFC device installation, on-site and remote
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise, on-site or remote
• Conduct basic testing and validation to ensure software performance and reliability, on-site and remote
• Assist in preparing and updating technical documentation
• Support project-related tasks and deliverables as assigned by the manager

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software development
• Ability to learn and apply programming concepts effectively
• Proficiency in C, C#, and Python
• Experience with IDEs: Visual Studio and Visual Code
• Familiarity with development environments: Windows OS and STM32
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting mindset
• Good teamwork and communication skills
