Estimator/Business Developer

Overview

This full-time opportunity is based in the Potomac Heights, MD area for a Senior Estimator with 10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction projects. The role is with Etech Hi, a well-established and growth-focused organization actively expanding its regional presence. The successful candidate will contribute in both estimating and business development, helping to generate new project opportunities while sustaining strong industry relationships.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to both estimating and business development efforts
• Help drive new project opportunities while maintaining solid industry relationships

Qualifications and Preferences

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology is PREFERRED
• Book of business or existing client relationships is PREFERRED
• 10+ years estimating heavy civil projects (roads, bridges, tunnels, DOT/municipal/infrastructure) in the DMV area is PREFERRED
• Prepare detailed estimates, analyze project costs, and read civil plans accurately is PREFERRED
• Experience with design-build, progressive design-build, lump sum, and low-bid projects is PREFERRED
• Strong network of subcontractors, suppliers, and industry contacts is PREFERRED
• Field experience in civil construction, concrete, bridges, tunnels, and rail; familiarity with critical path scheduling is PREFERRED
• Proficient in MS Office and estimating software (HCSS, HeavyBid, or similar); bilingual English/French is a PLUS
