Embedded Software Engineer

Three Point Solutions, Inc. is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain OpenRTOS based embedded software, tools, and documentation for heavy machinery applications. This onsite contract role is based in Cary, North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software tools and scripts to streamline development workflows and improve user experience.
• Design, implement, test, and validate OpenRTOS based embedded software solutions for target hardware.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to deliver robust software and provide technical support to stakeholders.
• Create engineering documentation, specifications, and software design standards to guide future work.
• Conduct software analysis, testing, debugging, and drive ongoing process improvements.
• Lead innovation initiatives for next generation embedded software development tools and environments.
• Support project planning, risk assessment, and engineering reviews across the software lifecycle.
• Ensure software quality through Agile practices and modern engineering methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of embedded software development experience.
• Proficiency in C, C++, C#, or Java programming.
• Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Design (OOP).
• Experience with OpenRTOS or other RTOS concepts.
• Skills in software testing and debugging.
• Experience generating engineering documentation and design specifications.
• Familiarity with Agile development practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
