Data Engineer - PySpark and Apache

Infosys is hiring a Data Engineer (Technology Consultant 2) in Atlanta, GA for an onsite role. In this position, you will work across the software development lifecycle, helping move business needs from requirements and design through coding, testing, and production support, while maintaining strong documentation and knowledge sharing.

Day to day, the work centers on turning requirements into implementable solutions, collaborating with the technical team on design decisions, and contributing to the stability and quality of production systems.

Responsibilities

• Support requirements elicitation by documenting assigned business requirements according to provided guidance
• Participate in software application design discussions and document design decisions to help the team build the right solution
• Contribute to coding efforts and integrate new features or updates into existing applications with an emphasis on system stability
• Perform code reviews and make codebase changes while maintaining and managing code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyze results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold software quality standards
• Create user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to support smooth transitions to new software applications
• Actively assist in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to improve system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing approaches, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base for similar projects
