Data Engineer III

Verily is building first-party solutions to support research and care programs, and this role helps power the analytics behind those efforts. As a Data Engineer III, you will work across the data stack on the Precision Health Platform, with ownership spanning data modeling and ongoing support for Product and Analytics needs.

This is an onsite position in San Bruno, CA. The estimated salary range is USD 106,000 - 159,000 per year, and the role calls for 4+ years of relevant experience.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and continuously improve analytical data models and pipelines.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that create meaningful value for partners.
• Own individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while practicing agile methods to iterate and adapt as requirements change.
• Collaborate with engineers and analysts, contribute to technical designs, and help ensure data models are intuitive, performant, and high-quality.

What you bring

• BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years experience in data architecture, data engineering, or analytics engineering, including SQL and ETL.
• 2+ years experience using the dbt (data build tool) library.
• Experience collaborating and prioritizing across a broad organization.
