Job Description
Join the Data Engineering team at Disney Decision Science and Integration (DDSI) to build and maintain data pipelines that power advanced analytics and AI-based solutions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver data pipeline and data engineering services across development and sustainment projects, ad-hoc requests, prototyping, and research initiatives
- Partner with business, science, and technology teams to define scope, requirements, and data needs across the Disney organization
- Design, develop, enhance, and implement systems for advanced analytic data solutions
- Aggregate and manipulate data to support science models, visualizations, and applications
- Use GenAI tools to improve efficiency and support AI-based solution delivery
- Assist in exploring and integrating GenAI tools and techniques into data engineering workflows to enhance automation and analytical capabilities
- Learn business domain and process knowledge, then apply it to assigned deliverables
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in technology roles, preferably focused on data engineering
- Strong experience building and maintaining ELT/ETL data pipelines
- Experience with source-to-target mapping
- Proficiency with Python and SQL
- Familiarity with GenAI concepts and tools, including LLMs, embeddings, and prompt engineering
- Ability to understand one or more business domains to gather data requirements and design data solutions
- Experience developing across multiple environments (Dev, QA, Prod) and applying DevOps procedures for code deployment and promotion
- Strong understanding of database and data warehouse design
- Experience with data platforms such as PostgreSQL or Snowflake
- Experience managing and deploying code with source control tools like GitLab or GitHub
- Ability to formulate solutions and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical teammates
- Proven capability working collaboratively in a multi-team environment

Desired Qualifications
- Understanding of vector databases or RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures
- Experience with analytic systems
- Experience working with GenAI APIs or frameworks such as OpenAI, LangChain, or AWS Bedrock
- Knowledge of theme parks, streaming, merchandise, or other related business domains
- Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
- Demonstrated proficiency with API development
- Experience with data orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow
- Knowledge of cloud architecture and product offerings, preferably AWS
- Experience leveraging containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study and/or equivalent work experience
Location: Lake Buena Vista, FL (onsite)
Salary: USD 106,900 - 143,300 per yearly
