Job Description

Data Engineer role in Dallas, TX onsite with Texas Instruments, supporting advanced manufacturing operations through data analytics, ETL pipelines, and software development.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate multifaceted operational challenges across multiple stakeholders to drive optimal solutions in a dynamic manufacturing setting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to provision data for decision making and analytics.
  • Design and deliver data visualizations for internal teams and external customers.
  • Develop and maintain server-side ETL pipelines and custom databases.
  • Design and implement algorithms to support data transformation.
  • Troubleshoot system interruptions and strengthen resilience to prevent future issues.
  • Collaborate and communicate across functions, levels, and cultures.
  • Assess emerging technologies and software solutions relevant to semiconductor manufacturing and integrate them to support lights-out operations.
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Automate data extraction and manufacturing processes.
  • Perform operational performance analyses to inform decision making.
  • Collect and validate operational performance data using robust analytics on automation and system logs to assess process requirements impact.
  • Access and query databases to extract critical data for production impact analysis.
  • Analyze and manage large datasets.
  • Demonstrate strong project management capabilities.
  • Design and develop software solutions that substantially improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or Information Systems; other engineering disciplines may be considered with demonstrated strong software development experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of data engineering experience within the semiconductor or high tech manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, C++, or other programming languages.
  • Strong SQL query skills.
  • Experience with data visualization platforms.
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment while wearing a smock.
