BI Developer/ Data Engineer

City Mattress seeks a technically skilled BI Developer and Data Engineer to join its BI and Data team in Bonita Springs, FL. The role focuses on building dashboards and reports while supporting data pipelines and infrastructure to translate raw data into actionable business insights.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for merchandising, operations, finance, and sales teams
• Develop DAX measures and calculated columns to support business KPIs
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into report specifications, and deliver clean, intuitive visuals
• Maintain and document semantic models in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric
• Troubleshoot broken reports and data refresh issues; communicate status and resolution to end users
• Support ETL/ELT pipeline development using Fabric Data Factory or Azure Data Factory
• Assist with data ingestion from Storis ERP and other operational systems into Microsoft Fabric and OneLake
• Perform data quality checks and help maintain data integrity across the reporting layer
• Contribute to data model documentation and governance standards in collaboration with the Data Governance Manager
• Support automation workflows (n8n, Power Automate) that feed operational dashboards

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a BI, reporting, or data analyst role with hands-on Power BI development
• Solid SQL skills, comfortable writing queries, joins, and basic transformations
• Demonstrated experience building and publishing Power BI reports and dashboards in a production environment
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or Azure data services (even if self-taught or project-based)
• Working knowledge of DAX for calculated measures and report logic
• Strong communication skills, able to translate data into clear takeaways for non-technical stakeholders

Work Location and Schedule

Bonita Springs, FL. This role follows a hybrid work model of four days in-office and one remote day per week at the corporate headquarters in Bonita Springs, FL.
