Responsibilities
- Implement a comprehensive program to extract data using a programming language or data collection methods, then analyze it and report information in a user-friendly, actionable way to diverse customers.
- Generate reports, develop tools, and provide consultative support as needed.
- Advance a data driven culture within Henry Ford Health System by cross-collaborating to gather data, generate reports, build automated tools, and offer actionable interpretation of information to all customers.
- Present information to customers at all levels, including executives, physicians, clinical staff, peers, and external oversight or regulatory bodies.
- Independently develop comprehensive data assets, ad-hoc reports and implement new or improved reporting processes to support strategic goals, clinical efforts, and any business initiative.
- Operate with minimal direction, manage deadlines, maintain timeliness, and deliver high-quality products.
- Anticipate and quickly adapt to evolving customer needs.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Handle complex and ambiguous requests while ensuring timely delivery, data quality, and flexible deadlines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with a major in Healthcare, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics, Business, or Applied Science.
- Three to four (3-4) years of experience in a Healthcare or Business setting.
- Expert in advanced Excel, SQL, report building, tool development, requirements gathering, and technical documentation.
- Experience in Relational Databases, Data Models, Data Visualizations, curated datasets, data cubes OR EMR report development and EMR systems functionality (Epic, Cerner, McKesson or other widely used EMRs).
- Maintain code repositories on a SCM system, familiar with merging, pushing, pulling, branching, staging and code commenting, or MS TFS.
- Strong understanding of fundamental computer programming concepts or Electronic Medical Record systems.
- Basic understanding of Statistical and Machine Learning concepts and of dimensional models and Data Warehouses OR EMR systems.
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Cognos, Looker, Toad, Minitab, Power BI, Qlik, SSRS, or similar.
- Ability to develop multidimensional semantic layers and analytics query objects for end users.
- Proven customer service experience with strong active listening skills.
- Able to present complex information to diverse audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
