Astyra Corporation seeks a Senior Microsoft Power Platform Developer with strong SQL Server expertise for a 1-year contract based in Raleigh, North Carolina. The role centers on leading the design, development, and governance of low-code solutions and enterprise-grade applications and databases integrated with SQL Server.

Hourly rate: $52.50 - $55.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, and Dataverse
- Connect Power Platform solutions with SQL Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, and external systems
- Create and maintain SQL Server databases, including schema design, performance tuning, and optimization
- Develop and maintain stored procedures, views, functions, triggers, and ETL processes
- Design enterprise-ready data models
- Build secure connections between Power Platform solutions and SQL databases
- Implement governance, ALM, and environment strategies for Power Platform solutions
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across applications and databases
- Troubleshoot Power Platform errors, workflow failures, and database performance issues
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Maintain documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
- Support modernization, automation, and cloud adoption initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum seven years of hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and SQL Server
- Seven years of T-SQL development, performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization
- Experience managing SQL Server instances on-premises and/or Azure SQL
- Understanding of data governance, security roles, and DLP policies
- Experience integrating databases with APIs, cloud apps, and third-party systems
- Ability to interpret business needs and deliver scalable, maintainable solutions
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience in MS Power Platform development and implementation
- Proficiency in Power Apps, Power Virtual Agent, and Dataverse
- Knowledge of SQL database structure
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) or higher certification
- Experience with Power BI, dataflows, and enterprise reporting
- Knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
