Job Description
TikTok seeks a Machine Learning Engineer for Commerce Ads Ranking in San Jose, CA on-site, with a yearly salary range of USD 156,000 - 316,800.
Responsibilities
- Enhance ads delivery models across recall to ranking, covering feature engineering, model architecture, automated feature crossing, cold-start handling, delayed feedback modeling, multi-task learning, and sequence modeling
- Co design algorithms and system components for retrieval, sample mining, and processing of long sequences
- Investigate and build scalable distributed training pipelines, including GPU tuning, feature processing, and synchronous training, with privacy-preserving considerations to boost delivery efficiency
- Develop next generation recommendation systems within an LLM driven framework, including entity understanding, end-to end Generative Recommendation, sequence only recommendations, and Mixture of Export
Requirements
- Strong coding skills in C++ and Python, with solid data structures and algorithms fundamentals
- Solid foundation in machine learning and familiarity with common models such as FM, LR, GBDT, DNN, and Wide & Deep
- Excellent learning agility, collaborative mindset, and strong analytical and problem solving abilities; publications in KDD, NeurIPS, SIGIR, or related ML/data mining competitions are a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related field
