Role overview

The Lead Data Engineer is accountable for the design, implementation, and ongoing evolution of the data integration landscape with external partners. The role centers on Azure based ETL and ELT pipelines, strong data quality practices, and opportunities to apply machine learning methods for cleansing, matching, and enrichment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end to end architecture and design of data integrations
• Design, implement, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, transform, and load external data into Azure SQL
• Define and enforce data modeling standards, schemas, and data contracts for external data domains
• Implement data quality frameworks
• Apply ML and advanced methods to improve data cleansing, matching, and enrichment
• Establish best practices, coding standards, and review processes for data engineering work

Requirements

• 7+ years of data architecture/engineering experience
• Strong experience designing and building ETL/ELT pipelines in an Azure centric environment
• 2+ years of senior/leadership experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience
• Technologies: Azure SQL, Azure
