Job Description
Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Data Engineer II to join the OIS/CXI Analytics team, based onsite in Austin, Texas. The role centers on building scalable data pipelines and ML-ready data infrastructure to power OpsTech operations and GenAI initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Architect and maintain production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines and scalable big data infrastructure that underpins OTS operational intelligence.
- Develop feature engineering workflows and ML-ready data pipelines to enable data science experimentation and production model serving.
- Contribute to data governance and data quality standards across analytical and ML data products.
- Support the implementation of GenAI solutions for automated reporting, diagnostics, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
- Create and sustain semantic layers and dashboard data models that support global operations decision-making.
- Collaborate with Program Managers, BI teams, ML Engineers, Data Scientists, and operational stakeholders to align priorities with OTS business goals.
- Adhere to and contribute to data engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing, monitoring, and documentation.
Requirements
- 3+ years of data engineering experience.
- 1+ years developing and operating large-scale BI data structures using ETL/ELT processes.
- 1+ years developing and operating large-scale BI data structures with OLAP technologies.
- 1+ years developing and operating large-scale BI data structures using data modeling.
- 1+ years developing and operating large-scale BI data structures using SQL.
- 1+ years developing and operating large-scale BI data structures using Oracle.
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
- Master's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or an equivalent field.
