Overview

- Salary: USD 65,100 - 166,200 per year

Responsibilities
- Maintain alignment with the Ford Production System and its Key Unifying Processes, applying standard manufacturing operating systems consistently
- Uphold Safety Operating System practices aimed at zero injuries and adhere to Quality Operating System practices to pursue defect-free production
- Design and implement data pipelines and workflows to automate repetitive data tasks
- Link enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, and manufacturing or operational systems using APIs, event-driven messaging, and orchestration workflows
- Perform data profiling, mapping, and modeling to ensure accuracy, consistency, and governance compliance
- Identify and implement controls best practices; drive enabling initiatives, training, and change control processes
- Collaborate with IT on IT and controls interface issues
- Review and update drawings for hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Monitor the use of structured software specifications and organize OEM training as needed
- Resolve issues during machine build, installation, and steady-state production
- Troubleshoot production downtime related to PLC programs and HMI screens
- Set up and maintain industrial barcode scanners and printers
- Conduct run-off of equipment per Ford specifications at supplier and plant to validate capability and safety
- Ensure production systems meet objectives through process design and FMEAs
- Work with plant and Manufacturing Engineering teams to ensure timely installation and validation with proper documentation
- Capture lessons learned and apply them to new programs, updating standards and strategies accordingly
- Troubleshoot PLC, robot, and other automation issues
- Update automation program backups
- Program new installations of vision, fastening, dispense, leak test, electrical test, gantry and conveyor systems
- Reprogram automation to accommodate engineering changes and improvements
- Maintain flexibility to operate across standard, operating, and rotational shift schedules including day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years of data engineering experience
- 2+ years of data visualization experience (reports, dashboards)
- 2+ years of experience with Python, SQL, C++, Java, or similar platforms for automation and data processing
