Seeking an experienced SAP Data Governance Expert to design, implement, and govern enterprise data within the SAP ecosystem, including MDG and BODS capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of enterprise data governance frameworks aligned to the organization's data strategy
- Create and enforce policies, standards, and procedures for SAP master and transactional data
- Establish data ownership and stewardship models across business domains
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and privacy requirements
- Architect and manage SAP Master Data Governance solutions across domains
- Configure MDG data models, workflows, validations, and governance setups
- Implement data approval workflows and governance lifecycle mechanisms
- Develop custom governance rules and business validations
- Build and apply data quality frameworks within the SAP landscape
- Set up data quality monitoring and remediation processes
- Define and monitor data quality KPIs and metrics
- Design and implement ETL pipelines with BODS for migration, cleansing, transformation, and integration
- Develop data quality jobs and profiling routines
- Create data reconciliation and validation frameworks
- Support large-scale ECC to S/4HANA data migration projects
- Collaborate with enterprise architects and SAP functional teams to ensure consistent data models
- Define data lifecycle management policies
- Establish data change governance processes
- Manage data stewardship workflows
- Implement audit and compliance controls for master data
- Define data synchronization and replication strategies
- Outline migration strategy and data cleansing approach
- Engage with business data owners, data stewards, SAP functional consultants, and IT architecture teams
- Conduct data governance workshops and trainings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years of SAP data management or governance experience
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA
- Hands-on experience with SAP ECC
- 3+ years working with SAP MDG
- 3+ years working with SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS)
- Experience on large enterprise SAP programs
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA data migration programs
- Experience with enterprise data governance programs
- Exposure to cloud data architectures
